Lesson 0: Introduction

  • How to make an English sentence - some basic rules
  • Types of sentences: Declarative, Imperative, Interrogative, Exclamatory
  • Brief introduction to Nouns, Pronouns, Determiners, Verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs, Prepositions, Conjunctions
  • Introduction to tenses: The Present Tense, The Past Tense and The Future Tense


Lesson 1: The Present Tense

  • The Simple Present Tense
  • The Present Continuous Tense
  • "Be" verb in the present tense
  • Interrogative sentence using the present tense


Lesson 2: The Past Tense

  • The Simple Past Tense
  • The Past Continuous Tense
  • "Be" verb in the past tense
  • Interrogative sentence using the past tense


Lesson 3: The Perfect Tense

  • The Present Perfect Tense
  • The Present Perfect Continuous Tense
  • "Have" verb and the past participles
  • Interrogative sentence using the perfect tense


Lesson 4: The Future Tense

  • The Simple Future Tense
  • "Will" and "Shall" helping verbs
  • Interrogative sentence using the future tense
  • Recap of all the tenses


Lesson 5: Pronouns & Determiners

  • Nominative, Objective, Possessive (Adjective), Possessive & Reflexive Pronouns
  • Determiners 


Lesson 6: Prepositions

  • Position prepositions
  • Direction prepositions
  • "to" and "for" linking with verbs
  • Infinitives and Gerunds concepts


Lesson 7: Conjunctions

  • Cause Conjunctions, "But" Conjunctions etc.
  • Building compound and complex sentences with conjunctions


Lesson 8: Adjectives and Adverbs

  • Positive, Comparative and Superlative Adjectives
  • Use of adverbs - time, place, manner, degree / frequency


Lesson 9: Interrogatives

  • The "Wh-"
  • The "How"
  • The polite interrogatives using "May", "Could", "Would", "Should" etc


Lesson 10: Modal Auxiliaries

  • Will & Would
  • Shall & Should
  • Can & Could
  • May and Might
  • Must
  • "Ought to"
  • More on imperative sentences

Well, you might be unfamiliar with some of the terms in the course outline but trust me, they are just "names" of commonly used English grammar. Most important is that you understand and able to apply the correct grammar concepts into your everyday English. 

I am confident that by the end of these 10 lessons you are able to read, write and understand proper English and build a solid foundation for higher level learning.
